A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Biography

Patryk Wilk (born 1995 in Łódź, Poland)

Interdisciplinary artist, with a background in psychotronics, painting, and music, author of installations, video works, and research-based art projects.

In his work, Patryk Wilk acts as a keen observer, exploring the dynamics of human behavior over time. His curiosity about human nature often drives him to insightful observations, which become a key element of his creative process. The artist is aware that actions may lead to triggering defensive reactions in people or fitting into social patterns — thus his approach is based on a subtle balance between observation and action. Through this continuous analysis of behavior, Patryk Wilk seeks to uncover deeper truths about human nature, often hidden beneath the surface of schematic behaviors.

His work arises from the need to find the appropriate medium that fully conveys both the complexity of the subject and the context of time and space. Each piece is the result of a sensitive process that combines analysis, dialogue with the space, and consideration of the audience's reactions. Wilk uses time as an integral element of his art, allowing his works to resonate, mature, and evolve in interaction with the space, viewers, and other works.

His works are characterized by authenticity and an "out of the box" approach — the artist consciously pushes the boundaries of conventional forms, taking risks and posing questions about the unknown. In his interdisciplinary practice, Wilk experiments by combining various art fields and exploring human nature both psychologically and mentally. He is always fascinated by what lies behind the facade of everyday reactions and conventions, discovering authenticity that often only emerges when actions are replaced by deeper reflection.
